In addition to teaching, I served as a member of the Connections to Algebraic Thinking Focus Group for my district. Our group was tasked with adjusting the middle school curriculum to better prepare students for the study of Algebra. I also completed the Emerging Leaders Program offered by the national nonprofit organization, New Leaders. The program helped strengthen my leadership and coaching skills and focused heavily on using data to drive instruction. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, rock climbing, longboarding, and skiing.
