As a student myself, I understand the needs and expectations of other students. My philosophy is that there is there is nothing that you can't learn; the difficulties are just a part of the process. I know that schools and universities cannot always cater to every single students' learning style, so that is what I will go above and beyond to do.

If I could be a student the rest of my life, I definitely would be. I completed my Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Music Education at the University of Southern Mississippi, after which I spent two years teaching middle school and high school band full-time. I then completed a Master of Music in Music Theory at the University of Oklahoma, which is when I really started to work one-on-one with students in music theory. I believe we thrive as performers when we fall in love with music. Music theory is just a way of better understanding (and thus better loving) the music we perform. In my professional life, I am also an academic life coach and advisor, as well as a graduate programs administrator. I love to write and have been published both under my own name and under a handful of other pen names. I regularly present to my local professional organizations on topics regarding student success, particularly at the graduate level.

My philosophy is that true learning lies in grasping concepts rather than simply memorizing content. I seek to constantly hone my learning strategies to reflect this. This has allowed me to tutor my peers efficiently throughout High School and College, on everything from standardized tests to biochemistry finals. I am currently a rising Junior at the University of Oklahoma, majoring in Biology on a Pre-medical track. I am on a full academic scholarship and an active participant in the honors program. My enjoyment of learning for its own sake has been a main driver of my academic success. I approach life with a smiling, energetic attitude, a mentality that carries over to my tutoring. Outside of school I love being active and outside as much as possible. My best days are filled with music, friends, and new experiences.

My adventures took me to Washington, D.C. where I participated in the Institute on Political Journalism in the summer of 2014. I also interned for Deseret News National Edition in the spring of 2015. During my time there I worked as a full time reporter and enjoyed long hikes in the mountains of Utah.I married my wonderful husband Timothy in May of 2014. I am a senior at the University of Oklahoma currently applying to medical school for entrance into the fall class of 2017! Because I am only four classes away from earning my Bachelor's of Science in Biology at OU, I will only be taking two classes this fall, and finishing up with two classes in the spring. This gives me a lot of extra time time to tutor in academic areas that I enjoy! I also have extensive childcare experience and love tutoring elementary age students, as well.

I was born and raised in Japan. Then I came to America. I graduated from Unification Theological Seminary in NY. I have master's degree of religious education. These days American people are more interested in Japanese culture and Korean culture. So I want to support their understanding Japanese and Korean culture by tutoring Japanese and Korean language. I believe that this is one of better ways to create world peace.I started teaching young people Japanese since 2007. Sometimes I taught it in college and public library. My class always has fun and meaningful content. Sometimes I explain about tradition related to Japanese language. In order for students to understand Japanese easily, I use textbook which I created. I studied Korean language from 34 years ago. Then I started teaching Korean online since 2015. I have Korean friend. We made Korean textbook together. Korean grammar is very similar to Japanese. I can teach people Korean.
