I enjoy working with students to help them achieve their academic goals. I like to inform my students that they can be successful with any academic challenges they may have. Sometimes information needs to be explained in a different way, the student may need more time to process the information, or be encouraged to answer a problem (even if the student is not 100% sure of the answer). So, differentiated instruction and flexibility as an educator are important qualities to exhibit. I think that it is important for students to be able to articulate how they feel about what they are learning, what they don't understand, and how they think as they answer questions. Such dialogues help students to develop as more self -directed learners. I believe that empowering students, helping them to become self-directed learners and being a support system for them can immensely impact how they grow in their academic career.

How far can one go without knowledge?Knowledge is what makes humans superior to every animal and plant life around. It is not our strength, speed, or size that puts us on top. If that were the case; the lions, the cheetahs, and the elephants would be far superior to us. It is our knowledge and our implementation of it that sets us apart. We do not live only to eat, sleep, and copulate... We build roads, bridges, dams, houses, and hospitals. We set laws, standards, morals, ethics, and so much more.To change the world requires much knowledge and wisdom. We have a brain with the capability to better this world, not only for ourselves, but for generations to come.So how far can one go without knowledge...?Knowledge is something each and every one of us must go after, and we must acquire it (with patience) little by little. Just as mountains are made pebble by pebble. We must learn from those who know, and teach to those who do not. I am currently a student of knowledge and hope to be till my last breath. I see no benefit in hoarding knowledge, it must be implemented and shared. This is my life goal;learn, implement, teachA continuous cycle.-----------------------------------------------------"Not equal are the blind and the seeing,Nor are the darknesses and the light,Nor are the shade and the heat"Fatir 35:19-21"Are those who know equal to those who know not?" It is only men of understanding who will remember.Az-Zumar 39:9

I specialize in science and sarcasm. When AP classes got hard and late nights got longer, teaching my peers and hosting study groups through my local National Honor Society Chapter helped me learn and help those around me. I taught and tutored HOSA test subjects and the PLTW biomedical science curriculum through high school. Now I am a Public Health student at A&M on the pre-med track. I will make awkward acronyms that are way too cheesy but get the job done.I look forward to tutoring you!

I have my bachelors in elementary teaching with a minor in reading and ESL. I also have my masters in elementary leadership with a minor in math. I am extremely passionate about teaching and am always learning myself. No matter what you want to do in life, education is needed for a strong foundation for confidence and character. But sometimes that foundation can be shaky and reinforcement is needed; this is where I come in! Being the oldest sibling of 5 and graduating in the top 20 students of my high school class has given me many skills and first-hand experience needed to help you or your child not only understand the material in front of them, but to become comfortable in manipulating it and explaining it to others. My tutoring style is explanation before memorization: I always look for the root of the problem when something is misunderstood and allow the student to work their way to the answer (they always know more than they think they do!). I am highly adaptable to all types of personalities and age groups from my interactions as a camp counselor, helping my younger siblings with their own homework, and tutoring my peers all throughout middle school and high school in AP courses ranging from English to Math. I am also a pre-med student at UT Dallas and my goal has always been to serve others, so naturally I'm ready to serve you or your child!
