Throughout my academic career, I always found ways to make hours of studying enjoyable by coming up with silly mnemonics, jokes, and puns about the material I would have to otherwise dryly trudge through. Whether it was my preparation for AP exam week, pre-med course midterms, MCAT, medical school finals, or my USMLE Step exams, I always found that the best way to manage stress, avoid burnout, and memorize material effectively was to make it fun rather than a chore. By combining my hobby of performing improvisational comedy with my passion for teaching, I've developed an engaging style of tutoring over my 3 years of experience as a college and med school TA. After graduation from St. George's University School of Medicine, I'll be pursuing an MBA in healthcare management and applying for residency in psychiatry, a field I'm deeply passionate about.

Growing up, I helped tutor my little siblings with their homework. This is one of the things that ignited my passion for teaching. To me, there is nothing more rewarding than helping someone understand a topic. I believe that the best way to teach is by using examples to ensure that the student can understand the basics of a subject. Following high school, I attended Stony Brook University and obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Physics. I plan on going to grad school and obtaining my masters degree in teaching. I am tutoring general and regents physics as well as algebra 1 and 2.

I am a graduate of Daemen College and New York University. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Science in Global Affairs. During college, I've tutored a broad range of subjects including, English, History, and Geography. I consider myself a wiz at Excel and am happy to teach anyone willing to learn!I want all my interactions to be fun and light-hearted to help my tutees undergo personal growth. My belief when tutoring students is to help them not only pass their classes but truly understand the material. Growing up, in my opinion, is the most important part of adolescence. I grew up in a household where my mom, a single parent working many hours to make ends meet was out of the house a lot. As the oldest child I learned to start preparing dinner on the days that my mom didnt have time to. I set a good example for my sisters. I enforced rules such as bedtimes and I took the mantle and achieved the responsibility of the leadership position in my mothers absence. I did extracurricular activities and sports such as track & field and afterschool clubs. But towards sophomore year, my involvement in afterschool activities decreased, my mom got a new job with a different schedule that required me to pick up my sisters from school every day.I think that I had to grow up a little earlier than most kids around my age. Not many people that I know have grew up in the same circumstances that I did. I believe that this experience has and is continuing to make me grow into a more mature person with good character and strong leadership skills such as patience, determination, perseverance and self-sacrifice. I learned that there is a time and place for everything, which especially pertains to balancing schoolwork, social life and responsibilities. Many people especially my mother and sisters have too much reliance on me for something like that to be an option. Though my mother is everything for us and we would literally have nothing if it werent for her, there are even times when she says to me, where would we be without you, or youve helped me so much, I cant imagine how we would have had ended up without you.
