I am a graduate of the University of North Texas (UNT). I received my M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UNT. I completed my Bachelor's in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Kathmandu Univerisity, Nepal. I also hold an MBA degree in Project Management. Teaching has been always my passion. I'd like to help in subjects in Math and Electrical Engineering. I recently obtained my Bachelor's of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. Shortly after graduation, I accepted a year-long tutoring job with a high school Senior at a preparatory school in Albuquerque. I provided this student with regular instruction in International Baccalaureate level Biology, which is a rigorous curriculum similar to that of the more commonly known Advanced Placement curriculum.Around the same time, I also worked as a long term Substitute Teacher for Albuquerque Public Schools. During this time, I came to appreciate a wide array of learning styles and teaching techniques. Part of what makes me an excellent Tutor is my understanding of the fact that every student learns differently and that one must be patient while determining the best way to help a struggling student understand a difficult concept.While I am most passionate about Biology, I also tutor Middle School Math and Algebra. I hope to add more subjects as the school year progresses because I love helping students learn, regardless of the topic.In my spare time, I enjoy playing strategic online and console based games. After a brief period as a creative writing/social work double major, I transitioned to pursuing a degree in elementary education. I now have a bachelor's and master's degree in education along with 4 years of elementary teaching experience. Tutoring has always been a part of my career, as I love the ability to work with students one on one and meet them where they are in order to help them meet their goals. Individualizing educational experiences is a strength of mine, and tutoring creates a great platform for that. I also have had lifelong success with test taking and tutoring test takers, so I can really help my students build successful testing skills.I would also love helping students learn organization and how to be successful in their studies.

I enjoy Biology because it sheds light on who we are and where we are from, plus it is a great excuse to be outside. I have experience teaching people who struggle with English from teaching in Taiwan as well as tutoring SAT prep locally to immigrants. My strongest subjects are Math and Science. When I teach I try to use examples and explain some study methods I use to make learning faster. I also know a few tricks to help save time and make the standardized test taking process a little bit smoother. Right now I am working on getting my pilot licenses and when I have some free time I enjoy music, basketball and video games.
