I graduated with a degree in Modern Languages and Culture from Kennesaw State University, in Georgia. Since I was a kid I have had a tremendous passion for learning languages and always wanted to follow a career in that path. I started learning English when I was in first grade. I was a Spanish tutor at the language lab of the university, where every day I helped students who came in and needed assistance with any topics, from grammar and pronunciation questions, to test preparations and final projects assistance. I enjoy my work of helping others with languages and find it very helpful to do, as learning foreign languages has become more and more common in our workplace. I am also a native Spanish speaker, born in Colombia. I have a vast experience with all sorts of topics in Spanish, from vocabulary and grammar structure to final exam preparations. I have worked with all group ages and with individual students, as well as large groups. I am very patient and easy-going, as I had to learn languages myself! I have five years of tutoring experience with college students, graduate students, and retired professionals. I have flexible time options and a great passion for sharing my language knowledge with students! I am willing to do anything to help my students and make sure they are understanding the material and making them feel more comfortable with the language after every session!

I am a 3rd year at the University of Georgia majoring in Human Development and Family Science with a physician's assistant intent. I have done intensive coursework in biology, chemistry, and anatomy. I love explaining difficult science concepts in a way that is easier and simpler to understand. I pride myself on personalizing each tutoring session to the individual goals and interests of the students.I have also spent 6 months tutoring elementary schoolers, giving me experience tutoring elementary age students in all subjects. Seeing students truly understand material and not just memorize it is my ultimate goal for every tutoring session. I want students to love to learn, and I believe that by getting to know the student and their goals, together we can make learning fun!

Growing up, I didn't know too many people who could or would tutor. I politely interrupted and asked what was he struggling with. That was the beginning of a volunteer peer-tutoring club. I never stopped tutoring.I use content-rich humor and visual aids and, if needed, audio reinforcement to help my students conquer various problems and retain what they learned. (The kids I have worked with really laughed when I would beatbox a formula- they told me they would never forget the formula-or that moment). I don't give students answers to homework problems, I build in those I tutor the knowledge, skills and effective methods needed to solve their own problems. I also work with students who struggle with testing anxiety. I enjoy tutoring students for the ACT and SAT, and have had tremendous success with these students.

In early 2021, I was a substitute teacher for Furtah Preparatory School in Woodstock, GA. I substituted a variety of academic subjects for ages K-12. Now, I'm a scorekeeper for Acworth Parks and Recreation while being a full-time online tutor!I'm currently a Georgia State University student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS), concentrating on App Development. I graduated from Flatiron School in December 2022 as a certified Full-Stack Software Engineer. My career lies in coding/web development, and I love to teach kids about what I love to do so they can impact the world as well! I tutor technology/coding and mathematics - my teaching style is very active. I like to make the subjects fun and exciting to learn! I'm also open to learning new teaching strategies as well!Outside of here, I'm an active, adventurous person.
