While at UVA, I spent six months in Lyon, France, published a research paper in French, and took French graduate courses. As a foreign affairs major, I crafted research and response papers and earned excellent marks on my grammar and writing style. During my undergraduate years, I switched over from being my family's French tutor and English grammarian to a volunteer ESL tutor. For three years, I tutored refugees and French adults in English. In summer 2014, I was accepted to study language education at DePaul University. My goal is to ultimately become a secondary French and English language teacher.

I graduated in May 2020 from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. I obtained my bachelors degree in Chemistry with a minor in Spanish in just 3 years due to my advanced track. Given that chemistry was my major, I frequently tutored my other pre-med classmates in their chemistry coursework. My final year I acted as a TA for the biology class I had taken my freshman year. Although I love alone time for my own hobbies, I value getting to know people on a personal level. For this reason my teaching approach is based highly on the individual I am working with. I like to get know my students style of learning and try to make it more meaningful through a personal connection. I believe less in memorization and more in creating foundations of knowledge that one can continue to build upon and rely on in moments of doubt. A graduate from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2013, I have a multitude of both professional and private teaching/tutoring experience and skills. The teaching certification program I completed is heavily focused on STEM education and creating well-rounded students for today's technology centered world. Our lesson plans were both hands-on and thoroughly engaging while ensuring efficacy in education.
