Hi! My name is Logan and I am a sophomore engineering student at Texas A&M University! I've always had an aptitude for math, and I have prior experience in tutoring. I am proficient in all math levels up to Calculus II, and I enjoy working with students and would love to share my love for math!

Since graduation, I have served one year as a K-2 literacy tutor with A Community for Education, and this past year I worked as a kindergarten teacher at IDEA Public Schools. I will be beginning a Masters Program in Education this fall at the University of Texas at Austin with a certification in teaching 7-12th English. My goal as a professional is to unite my love of literature with my passion for social justice to become an inspirational and effective educator of underserved preteen and teenage students. My tutoring style is very positive and encouraging, and centered around teaching my students in a way that makes sense to them. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, running, travel, and cooking.

This course enhanced my phonics training, comprehension teaching, and fluency assessment and English teaching skills.The experiences of working for CBS news in Tallahassee and traveling to 34 countries when working for Delta Airlines, made history alive for me, it highlighted the importance and value of language to connect people and it revealed the power of culture to inform one's identity.I believe everyone has a divine portion of talent and the ability to reach their full potential. I am an B1 speaker of Spanish and an A1 speaker of Chinese. I studied Spanish in Spain and Guatemala and have learned Chinese at home.

I have years of experience tutoring in ACT and GRE prep for individual lessons and in the GRE Prep Courses. I am a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Engineering with a degree in chemical engineering. I am currently an MBA student at NYU Stern. I enjoy film and music theory, football, basketball, I like to jog, exercise, hike and travel. I recently completed a Masters in Professional Counseling at Texas State University. I first began tutoring while teaching ESL for two years in Taiwan after college. It was a great experience! Alongside teaching classes, I tutored individual students and adults in English language arts, and led SAT prep and humanities study groups at the Princeton Review. I love teaching and tutoring and am passionate about what my father, a former university professor, calls "the world of ideas." In particular, I am interested in literature, poetry, and the mechanics of writing, as well as issues related to psychology, philosophy, economics, and history. My long-term career goals include bringing together my training as a therapist and my background in education by working in higher education counseling settings.

I am currently enrolled in the University of Houston for Mathematical Biology. I am following the pre-med track. I aspire to be a doctor one day, so I can further help people. I have had ample experience in tutoring people. I used to help my classmates before and after school in High School, and I volunteer to help tutor some people in my University. I am very passionate about my studies, and I know sometimes everybody needs a little help here and there. I am able to teach things in a new perspective and in a manner that would be most useful to my student. My strong suits are in the areas of Math, English, and Test Prep. By combining what I have been taught and what I have learnt, I will be able to help the students understand the materials one way or another. My tutoring policy is to never just give the answer to anyone. They have to understand how to get there and how to apply that idea to another problem.
