I am an accomplished English Language Arts Instructor with seventeen years of teaching experience. I am a three-time Teacher of the Year recipient who has spent my entire teaching career facilitating students in their journey to embrace the art of writing as a primary pathway to communication and a catalyst for change.I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rollins Hamilton Holt School with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Psychology, and I consistently use this background in brain-based learning when developing curriculum. My teaching style is a unique blend of 21st century writing and reading workshop, supported by critique-driven reflection. Embedded into my coursework is the acknowledgement that each learner has the capacity - the innate desire - to challenge themselves. I tutor German as well as many fields of European History. I have over a year of experience as a tutor in German and I hope that my expertise can help students on the road to bettering themselves intellectually. I have been exposed to German for close to 9 years and have been to Germany numerous times. I have conversed with natives and spent a month in a German language school to hone my abilities. As far as history goes, I have graduated Cum Laude from Rollins College and was a member of the Phi Alpha Theta History Society and have independently looked into periods of time on my own accord since before I can remember. I received my bachelors of arts from New York University with a degree in English and a concentration in creative writing. Even though I have a background in writing, all my past professional work experience has been in data and marketing analytics and coding programs in Python and SQL. I tutor creative writing, coding, mathematics, and Spanish. My tutoring mantra is to first develop a foundation with the student in order to ultimately achieve their academic goals.

I graduated with my Associate of Arts from St. Petersburg College in 2019. I am currently a junior at the University of South Florida working on my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. I plan on pursuing a graduate degree in cosmetic science. I am passionate about increasing science literacy and I believe instilling in our youth a love for chemistry is imperative in fostering a generation of scientific innovators. Since chemistry is my foremost passion and the primary subject I study and hope to pursue a career in, it is my favorite subject to tutor. I am a graduate of Florida Atlantic University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Physics. I will be starting a Master's degree in Climate Science this fall at George Mason University. I tutor math and physics, but I am most passionate about high school physics. I was a peer mentor in college, helping fellow physics majors with navigating hectic university life. Equitable education is important to me, as I myself struggle with 3 learning disabilities (ADHD, auditory processing disorder, and dyscalculia), and I believe that it is necessary for everyone to have the same opportunities to prove themselves, so I try to provide my students with the same learning tips and tricks that I've gained and been taught throughout my academic career. In my free time, I enjoy playing a multitude of musical instruments, reading, and painting.

I grew up speaking English and Spanish and became interested in learning other languages in high school. At age 14, I taught myself Portuguese, French, German in high school and became a freelance tutor and translator. In college, I have studied Russian for two years and I'm the current president of my university's Russian Club. I have helped a number of people become proficient in foreign languages for business, travel, school, and personal interest and have joined Varsity Tutors to continue doing so.
