I graduated in May 2016 with a BA in Romance Studies (Italian, Spanish, French) and a minor in linguistics from Ohio State. I have worked as a private Spanish tutor for a family with two 11-year-old boys, so I know how to handle a student working from their own home. Although that has been my only other formal tutoring job, I have always been the go-to language guru for my friends and family, and therefore have a lot of practice explaining linguistic concepts in many different ways. I am able to tutor in English grammar, Spanish, French, Italian, basic German, and basic Latin. I love teaching them all; languages are my passion, and since I love to communicate by nature, I can't wait to share my passion with my new students! I hope that, as a student myself, I'm a little more approachable than a teacher, but I'm still not here to give away answers. I hope to have my students lead the sessions (in terms of what we cover that day) since they know best what they want to get out of their tutoring, and in return I will work with them on that topic and try to make it relatable and fun.When I'm not studying grammar, I like to play the violin and guitar, watch Disney movies, bingewatch my favorite TV shows (Doctor Who, Star Trek, Once Upon a Time, The Librarians), read (Harry Potter, Percy Jackson), and write. I also have the travel bug; I have visited 7 European countries and also studied abroad in Rome in 2014. After school, I really hope to intern at Walt Disney World and eventually work there.

I am an honor's student at The Ohio State University majoring in Strategic Communications and Marketing. So needless to say, I have successfully taken an array of course work to get here. Although, my favorite courses I have taken thus far are Folklore and Marketing.Being in an English related field, I tend to gravitate towards tutoring those type of subjects as well. I would say my favorite subject's to tutor in the past have been writing/editing papers, ACT prep (English and Reading), and AP Language and Composition. In each session, I plan to use my acquired knowledge in school and prior work experiences to meet and exceed your expectations as a tutor.When I am not in school or tutoring, you can find me hanging out with friends on campus, attending general admission concerts, and watching soccer! In fact, before transferring to OSU, I played college soccer at Wright State for two years before suffering a career-ending injury. Ultimately I think everything happens for a reason, so I'm happy with playing recreationally.With all that being said, I am excited to meet you and hopefully, I can get to know you better too!
