As far as I can remember, I've been the go-to guy when you wanted help with a subject, whether it was advanced mathematical concepts during my Bachelors Degree days, or software engineering principals in my Masters degree program. It was for this reason that I was specifically picked out by one of my professors to be his teaching assistant for two semesters of classes before I graduated. So confident was he in my skills that he was able to go around the requirement that TA-ships be only handed out to Phd level students.After graduating with a Master's Degree in Computer Sciences from the University of Texas at Arlington, I've been involved in a number of software development jobs including my current one in a Fortune 100 company. I can can back up my academic knowledge with extensive industry experience. However I haven't lost touch with teaching as I'm still called upon by friends for consultation about software engineering and design concepts.I'm computer enthusiast enjoys tinkering with hardware and software in my spare time and am pretty confident in my computer science teaching abilities. And since math goes hand in hand with computers, I'm well versed in math subjects as well.

My experience spans from 7th grade to 12th grade and core to pre-AP.This year, I made the transition to teaching 3D Modeling and Animation and AP Computer Science Principles. This year, I have seen students use their creativity and artistic abilities.I believe that everything has a story. Whether it be characters and settings that we create or stories that we read. Helping students understand that they can create a story or understand that story brings me joy.I look forward to helping your child find their creativity or find joy in reading and writing.

I am pursuing a bachelor's at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in pure math and physics. I have been tutoring for a little over a year and I love seeing students grow in their math capabilities. I tutor many math and physics subjects but my favorite is calculus 1 because of how much students' perspectives of math change while taking the course. I have scored well on the SAT and many AP exams.

My dad always shares a story with me from when I was 5 years old. We were riding in the car and I was describing the scenery along the drive with such vivid vocabulary. He was so shocked to hear those type of words come out of such a young child's mouth. That always makes me smile and the more I think about it, it doesn't surprise me at all. That story was a hint of the type of person I was to become.I love language. Language allows us to fully express ourselves and meaningfully connect with other people and cultures. I also love teaching and encouraging others. English language + writing and Spanish were two of my favorite courses in school. I excelled in AP English courses and essay writing. I went up to AP Spanish V (the highest level) and it was my favorite class.It's my pleasure to be a Varsity Tutor and help students develop their skills and ability in those areas, whether it be for personal or professional purposes!

I am a non-traditional college graduate. I obtain my Medical Assistant certification in 2000. My career goals were to work for 5 years in a clinical setting, then go back to school. Life happen and I got off course a bit, but finally enrolled back in school in 2009. I am proud to say I completed and obtained my Bachelor in Health care Administration. It felt good to complete a educational goal I set and finished to show my daughter what hard work looks like for a single parent. I knew I wanted to obtain my Master's and once again I got off course, and did not want to miss my daughter's high school years. As a proud parent, "she is my world. She is currently enrolled in school to be a Specialty Physician." I did finally enroll again in school and obtain that Master's in 2018.I have worked in the educational sector since 2014 and I love helping students complete courses to help them also obtain his or her Medical Assistant certification. Even though I play a small role in helping each student the rewards are always a BIG accomplishment for us both.I also instruct Phlebotomy courses.
