I am a second year doctoral student in clinical psychology at the University of Arizona. I received my B.S. degree in psychology with a minor in biology, with a focus on neuroscience and biomedical science from Northern Arizona University.As long as I can remember, I have had a love for teaching. In elementary school I would come home in the afternoon and 'play school' with my stuffed animals, creating and grading worksheets for them. Throughout school, I continued to take every opportunity to assist friends and classmates.Now, in graduate school, I have had the opportunity for training in teaching strategies and philosophy, as well as hands-on work assistant teaching undergraduate psychology courses.I find that I am best at teaching test taking strategies, particularly for the SAT and GRE, and I excel at English focused tasks.Apart from teaching, I have 3 dogs and 4 cats, a flourishing desert garden, and am mastering Shaolin Kung Fu alongside my wonderful fiance.

I am really passionate about math and tutored at an on campus facility for 3 years! I have been professionally trained and certified as a tutor. During my time as a tutor on campus, I helped students in subjects ranging from incoming freshman pre-algebra to help students prepare for college math to students in Calc 2. Since starting with Varsity in 2018, I have tutored students in high school from introductory algebra to pre-calculus and SAT prep.
