About Me

I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Linfield College with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a minor in Studio Art. I've always been interested in Science and plan to pursue my Ph.D. in Molecular Biology in order to do research. I tutored all throughout college and enjoy instilling confidence in students. In addition to teaching concepts or going over problems, I explain why and how one would arrive at a particular answer. I think that this is beneficial because it teaches students how to learn. This is a skill that can applied to any area of study and it helps make the material more understandable. I use a variety of methods to teach including drawings, models, analogies, similar practice problems, and anything else that would help them to learn. Outside of school I love riding horses and have five back home in Montana. I also like being outdoors, hiking, kayaking, swimming, and doing anything else that is fun! I'm very understanding and personable with my students. I hope that I can help you to achieve your academic goals.
