About Me

I graduated from Rutgers University in 2013 with a B.A. in French and English, receiving High Honors for both majors. I've been tutoring students since my first semester there, starting with literature and composition and eventually tutoring students from all levels of the Rutgers writing program, as well as those students who needed help in my areas of expertise. For two years, I taught English in France as part of the TAPIF program by the French Ministry of National Education, and tutored other students privately; I am fluent in French and am adept in common ESOL teaching techniques, both in the classroom and in a less formal setting. I particularly love tutoring Writing and Composition, Literature, History, and French - especially when an interdisciplinary approach helps the student approach information in new ways - since these fields are where my academic expertise and my interests align. I truly want to share my love of language, history, and literature with my students. I'm also passionate about every student's right to an effective education, so my goal as a tutor is to consider each student's individual style of learning and to teach them practical skills they can carry back to the classroom, the exam, and beyond. In my spare time, I play the violin and the ukulele, write a lot, and go to the sea whenever I can.
