About Me

I'm a graduate of Columbia College Chicago; after exploring many fields of interest (writing, linguistics, computer science, and more), I completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design graduating Cum Laude. As a tutor, I work to completely engage with a student's learning process and try to see the subject through their eyes. I stress conceptual understanding over formula memorization, but I'm also realistic about the demands of standardized testing and teach testing strategy as well as material. I'm passionate about good writing, and I love to work on students' reading and writing skills. When I'm not tutoring, I love to run in Prospect Park, listen to all kinds of interesting music, and devour books. I'm always trying to learn something new: right now, I'm writing my first long-form narrative and teaching myself to use the Linux terminal.
