About Me

I graduated from University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and minors in International Studies & Ethnic Studies. After college, I decided to purse my passion of service and working with youth in the realm of education as I am with my current role as a full-time AmeriCorps volunteer with City Year. Here I tutor middle school aged students in predominately math. Additionally, I have tutoring experience with first grade students in English Language Arts, working with reading comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency. I also have experience teaching English abroad, as I studied abroad in Argentina during my college career. I have worked with, and tutored youth for many years and I simply want to give back. I believe every student, regardless of their zip code, should have the equal access to a high quality education. I have high expectations for all of my students and genuinely believe they will all reach them with perseverance, desire, and maybe a little help from me. I enjoy music, spending time with friends and being in social settings. I am the huge extrovert and love talking and meeting new people.
