About Me

I have been teaching for a total of 18 years. During this time I have had the opportunity to teach in several different countries in Latin America as well as Europe and Asia. I have taught a variety of grades from 3rd to middle school. I have concentrated my efforts on specializing in the areas of math and science in the upper elementary grades. Having students master math skills during this time in the education sets them up for future success and less frustration at the middle school level. Since science is so closely related to math at the middle school and high school level, I have found that having a strong understanding of basic science concepts and vocabulary and using STEM based activities it engages the students to be more interested in the science field. There a genuine caring and concern that has to go hand in hand when teaching a child. Helping a student feel successful will develop a love of learning for life.
