About Me

I enjoy working with students because I believe that everyone has the ability to succeed academically, given the right tools. Many subjects, such as math, are often difficult for students to grasp at first, making the prospect of learning intimidating. However, given the right amount of hard work together and patients, I believe that there is not any difficult subject that cannot be surmounted. The most rewarding aspect of teaching is helping a student reach an "ah ha!" moment in a subject they previously thought impossible to comprehend. In my experience teaching psychology and statistics courses, I have had the opportunity to help many students reach their "ah ha" moment. I have taught psychology, research methods, and statistics courses at the University of New Hampshire and Granite State College. I received my B.A. in psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I received an M.A. in psychology from Southern Connecticut State University and an M.A. in psychology from the University of New Hampshire. I have also received a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of New Hampshire. I tutor subjects including math, statistics, psychology, psychology GRE subject test prep, and writing. My favorite subject to tutor is statistics because I find that it can be a bridge between math processes and real world context, lending a useful platform for math wary individuals to learn about mathematical concepts. Outside of my academic interests, I like to cycle, travel, and cook in my spare time. I like to be outdoors and I enjoy many outdoor activities such as skiing/snowboarding, swimming, and going to the beach.
