About Me

I am a graduate of the arts management master’s program at George Mason University and winner of the Capstone of the Year award for excellence in research, writing, and presentation of the capstone thesis project. I have a history of working in accessibility and research in the arts and am interested in creating dialogues on the ways in which the arts—and the ways our businesses and government support the arts—are an essential component of our everyday lives. To quote Jane Chu, “Although many may not realize it, the arts actively intersect with areas such as the economy, human development, and community vitality. The arts and artists are an integral part of the solution to the challenges we face in all parts of our society.”I am also interested in international arts policy, having visited over 25 countries while living and working abroad for more than four years. I am passionate about exploring the ways that the arts can unite disparate cultures and communities. I previously served with AmeriCorps*National Civilian Community Corps: Southwest Region, focusing on disaster relief and community development, and later spent three years working internationally with underserved students.
