About Me

Aloha! =) I have been a Special Education Teacher since 2009 in California (as well as a few years teaching back home on "da" islands) and 2017 in Arizona, working as a Behavior Specialist/Special Education Teacher. I have taught 6th-8th grade English, Science, Math and History. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Child-Developmental Psychology from Saint Mary's College in Moraga, California. I received both my Level I and II Education Specialist credential at Brandman Univsersity, located in Walnut Creek, California. In addition, I have completed my course work for my Master's of Arts in Special Education. My primary experience has been working with students and clients with academic and behavior needs. I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawai'i. I love teaching and I am motivated by being a positive role model for my students, as well as others. I enjoy listening to all types of music, especially Hawaiian and Reggae. I love embracing and soaking in all the culture around me. My students have described me as being "crazy...for loving math" and "funny" which shows my passion and dedication to teaching and learning new things.
