About Me

I am passionate about math and science and I hope I can help you love it too! I obtained a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Maryland and am currently a researcher at a large international company in NJ. During my time in graduate school, I taught General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry for a total of seven semesters and have won multiple teaching awards and fellowships. Through teaching, I have gained a great deal of experience not only in the chemistry and math, but in learning the best way to communicate the information to students. I have learned how to help them develop the skills and methods necessary to succeed. I believe that my passion and enthusiasm for math and science is evident in my teaching style and with such a difficult and intimidating subject, that is necessary to motivate the student to believe he or she can succeed. I have experience in both large and small class sizes, as well as private tutoring (one-on-one or groups of two to four). I am sure that I will be able to help you or your child master the material and reach full potential! As a Chemistry PhD Candidate, I am passionate about science and I love to spread that passion as much as I can. STEM fields can be very intimidating, but with support and encouragement, I hope to foster a sense of intrigue and appreciation for it that might not have been there before.
