About Me

Hi! My name is Abi. I earned my Bachelor's in Education in May 2020 with Highest Honors. My concentration was Human Development and Family Studies and I minored in Asian Studies. Across my academic experiences, I've always been a high-achieving student, particular excelling in my humanities courses like English and history. I am the second eldest daughter of four and a big cousin to a 7 and 6-year old, meaning I've been assisting my family with childcare and homework help for years before it became my job. In high school, I volunteered at my elementary school, providing homework help to 3rd-5th graders in various subjects. In college, worked as a summer camp counselor for DukeTIP, a camp for gifted kids, and interned at an organization that provides year-round academic enrichment to middle and high school students. I am currently working in a nonprofit, where I work with 4th and 6th grade students once a week during to design a new green schoolyard for their school. Finally, I recently wrote a children's book!
