About Me

As an enthusiastic educator for 10 years, I thoroughly enjoy guiding my students to their highest potential. Coming up with new ideas to guide a multi-sensory and individualized learning experience is one of my favorite aspects of this field. I am a patient, caring, and understanding OG instructor and I find true joy in teaching/tutoring students of all ages. Before becoming a tutor, I studied Psychology at the College of Charleston and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in 2010. Through a reference from my Psychology of Conditioning and Learning Professor, I immediately began working as an ABA therapist. This led to my knowledge of the Orton-Gillingham approach to teaching. After taking the course and passing the practicum, I earned my associate level O-G accreditation. Tutoring following the O-G approach has shown to be highly successful as my students have made exceptional progress in reading, spelling, and writing. I look forward to meeting new students and guiding their progress as their tutor.
