About Me

I have worked with students for multiple years now, teaching standardized testing mathematics, competition math, and general math concepts. I find that teaching others has always motivated me to learn new skills myself, and I hope my enthusiasm is contagious! I want to help you not only understand the material, but understand why it is exciting and worthwhile. I am a patient listener and celebrate mistakes. When I work with students, I make sure that they find a way to get excited about the material, and understand the connections between the various topics. I think that everyone learns differently, and I can help you find your strengths, even if you've always been "bad" at a subject. I used to find school very frustrating, but I have learned to trust myself and my skills. Since then, I have become an excellent student and hope to help you do the same. I'm now a student at NYU Gallatin, and previously attended Phillips Exeter Academy, the country's #1 ranked high school according to Niche.com. While in high school, I haven taken courses in Calculus, Multivariable Calculus, Abstract Math, Non-Euclidean Geometry, Machine Learning, and Data Structures. I have received a total of 8 perfect "5" scores on AP tests, and have competed in competition math for a number of years, receiving a perfect 150 on the AMC 12, one of only 27 high school students nationally to do so.
