About Me

Hi there, I'm Jessica! I'm currently in my final semester of a Master's program at The College of Saint Rose, where I am becoming certified in English Language Arts and Special Education for students in grades 7-12. I have worked as a substitute teacher throughout college, and have recently completed an internship in a middle school Resource Room setting. I specialize in tutoring all English subjects, including the writing process, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and grammar, at all academic levels from elementary school through college. I am also an expert tutor in ELA, math, science, and history at the elementary and middle school levels. I have substantial experience working with students who have learning challenges or disabilities. I believe that we all learn in unique ways, and so my approach to tutoring is highly individualized towards each student that I meet. I am passionate about developing relationships with my students and helping them reach their goals. Whether a student wants help on a single assignment or is seeking out longer-term tutoring to supplement their classroom instruction, I am here to support their learning. I take a high-energy approach to tutoring and love to incorporate students' interests into the tutoring process, to help build engagement and make the learning experience enjoyable.
