About Me

My name is June Dolber and I am a graduate of Tungfang University in Taiwan, Republic of China, where I received my Industrial Arts Diploma. My education and training have allowed me to view the written Chinese characters as an art form and to communicate fluently with the one billion people worldwide who speak this language as their mother tongue. Before pandemic, I have had the pleasure of teaching younger children as a first-grade Chinese school teacher for 3 years. This experience has helped me understand what is needed to support language learning for students of different ages, and it has also given me the opportunity to consolidate my own basic language skills. My passion for teaching Chinese Languages has also led me to tutor online. I am a strong believer in the philosophy that you live another life for each language you speak. The ability to communicate in additional languages gives you the ability to explore different worlds in great depths. In today's increasingly globalized world, it is particularly important for the younger generation of the English-speaking world to broaden their horizons, especially where language barriers may occur. As your teacher, I am committed to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment where you can develop your language skills and deepen your understanding of Chinese culture.
