About Me

I am a kindhearted, friendly, professional, and highly trained teacher. I am extremely passionate about teaching; I find the position personally satisfying and beneficial to the students I work with. I am a great communicator and listener and can understand a student's needs. Enabling children to grasp the foundational knowledge and skills that they will use for the rest of their lives is a wonderful gift. A good education is, in my belief, the single most important thing we can impart to the younger generation. I am very motivated to equip young minds to learn more about History. I am graduated from Fayetteville State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. I am a certified Secondary Social Studies teacher in the state of North Carolina. I like to use a variety of strategies to help my students understand the concepts they are being taught because I know that everyone learns in their own way. When I am not teaching or tutoring, I love spending time with my family. I am also a Women's Varsity basketball coach at the high school where I currently teach. The love of basketball is another passion of mine, along with hiking, traveling, and cooking.
