About Me

I am a graduate from Appalachian State University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and a concentration in science. I am also a Masters degree candidate in reading education with a certificate in teaching emergent bilinguals. I've been tutoring an emergent bilingual student for several months and I hope to continue more students of different backgrounds. While I am well prepared to tutor any subject, I am most passionate to teach math since I've always liked solving for word problems and working with numbers. In my spare of time I enjoy hiking, and spending time with my family. I enjoy helping students, especially those who struggle in a subject and want more guidance because this allows a more one on time with students in the areas they might be falling behind and it gives us an opportunity to guide and help that student achieve their goal.
