If you're struggling with introductory accounting then I know how you feel. I used to groan when I opened the text and couldn't understand any of it. And I was a top student! It can affect your sleep, stress levels and your mental wellbeing and self-esteem. And now? I am a qualified accountant and a module leader in introductory accounting at University, and engaged by international book publishers to review their new editions and assess their material.

My name's Ian and teach accounting at undergraduate level as well as teaching professional accounting students to give them the best possible chance to pass their examinations first time. In my career, I've taught both UK, EU and international students and I like to help students realise their potential, particularly those who feel that they could understand better but are hampered by their accounting tutors or the presentation of material in their textbook. All I ask of my students is honesty and openness when things don't make sense to them, and a commitment to work and attempt questions.

Otherwise, have a free piece of advice :o) You'll pass your accounting exams by attempting as many questions as possible in your revision. Having a well-organised, colour-coordinated, and indexed set of notes that has been read over and over will do you no good when you're alone at your table in the examination hall!
