I have been Head of department in an inner London school for the past 6 years. I have detailed understanding of the GCSE and A level Sociology specification. I have a secure understanding of all content and exam skills required for Grade 9 at GCSE and grade A* at A level. I am very good at embedding different teaching and learning strategies to ensure all students learn and progress. This has been reflected into fantastic exam results. Three years in a row, my department has achieved a progress 8 score of +1.46 and above, which is well above average. The current Alps for my department is 2, which is well above average too.
