As a recent graduate and an Americorps member, I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals. My experience working with students in various settings has shown me the power of individualized attention and the impact that it can have on a student's learning experience.

During my time at City Year DC, I tutored diverse groups of up to 6 students, creating tailored lesson plans and study guides to help them strengthen their subject comprehension and build important learning skills. As a Resident Assistant at the University of Denver, I mentored and coached students to foster positive relationships and encourage academic success. Additionally, as a Supplemental Instruction Leader at Front Range Community College, I facilitated small group and one-on-one tutoring sessions for students struggling with Introductory Statistics.

I am currently studying for the LSAT and plan to go to law school. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Socio-Legal Studies from the University of Denver, Furthermore, I hold an Associate of Arts in Political Science and Government from Front Range Community College.

I currently tutor a range of subjects, including math, both high school and college statistics, college and high school political science, and sociology. However, my favorite subjects to tutor are political science because it allows me to engage with students on current events and important issues and math because it was something that I struggled with early on.

My teaching philosophy is centered on building strong relationships with my students and understanding their unique learning styles to tailor my approach accordingly. I believe in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters confidence, encourages critical thinking, and promotes independence.

Outside of academia, I enjoy exploring new places reading, and writing. I believe that these interests help me stay energized and well-rounded as well as learned, allowing me to bring my best self to my work with students.
