I'm a student by trade, in all honesty. But I wasn't always in love with learning. School was hard and it took a lot of work. It still takes a lot of work, preparing for medical school. But my perspective has changed, and it has made all the difference. I have learned that I actually love learning, and it makes school feel like fun. My goal is to help my students discover and then unleash their own love for learning to overcome the challenges associated with the education system, whether it be test anxiety, feeling disconnected from the material, or just needing some more time on a concept.
You are smart. You have just as much potential as anyone else. Sometimes we actually know already what we need to know, we just need help applying the concepts or a little boost in confidence. And with a little bit of time and work, we can get you where you want to be.
I'm not here to show you how much I know, but to help you discover for yourself that there isn't a subject you can't master.

Hobbies

- Music is my thing. I learned piano as a kid, but I picked up drumming when I was 12 and it's been a huge part of my life ever since. Recently started learning ukulele from my wife. - I love languages. Studied French in high school for three years, then served a mission in the Philippines and became fluent in Tagalog. I've got the basics of Spanish now, and started learning Mandarin recently. Japanese could be next. We'll see. - Video games, board games, card games, D&D, maybe some comical volley ball here and there. Doing things with people is what life is all about. - I often spend my time learning new things about the world. I can often be found watching documentaries or lectures on just about any topic. There's just so many beautiful things in our universe to be excited about!
