I graduated last year from The Catholic University of America as a history major with minors in theology and philosophy. At CUA, I was also able to work as a writing tutor and as head copyeditor of our undergraduate research journal. Now I'm a first year law student at The College of William and Mary. I love writing and history and the most rewarding thing to me is when a student realizes they knew the answer all along. :)

I am a student at Endicott College and have always had a passion for helping children succeed. I have had experience working with children of many ages, however I prefer to focus mainly on the K-6 age group. I have privately tutored middle school students and have worked hands-on in a classroom of 6-8 year olds. I have experience working with various types of attention and learning disabilities and do not view these as obstacles to learning, but as something that the student must accept and embrace as they go throughout their educational journey. I love helping students succeed and feel passionately about the subject of education. I am pursuing a double major in Digital Journalism and Photography, with a minor in International Studies. I want to become a journalist so that I may educate others about the things that are going on in the world. My favorite topics to tutor include the wonderful subjects of English and Social Studies! My teaching philosophy is relaxed and laid back- I believe that in order to learn, the student must be comfortable with the teacher and that there must be a strong relationship between the two in order for there to be success. I am also a strong proponent to the philosophy of instilling self-confidence in students, and believe strongly in positive reinforcement. I believe in the importance of recognizing the good and positive in each student's work, and working around their strengths, rather than directly attacking the negative qualities of a student's work. Outside of academia, I enjoy playing piano, guitar, and tennis. I also thoroughly enjoy going on runs with my Siberian Husky, Stella.

Hi! I'm a recent grad from Johns Hopkins University, where I received my B.A. in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University, minoring in Economics and History. I conducted a 2.5 year research project, culminating in a senior honors thesis on electronic currencies (namely Bitcoin) at both Johns Hopkins and the London School of Economics. This fall, I'm going to continue that research as I pursue a Master's in Philosophy at Cambridge University. I also have a great interest in the environment, including ecology, zoology, and animal behavior. In addition, I love public speaking, poetry, and American literature. I look forward to working with you!

Reluctant student turned teacher and coach.When I was a senior in high school, I had loathed my language arts teacher, which motivated me to become a teacher myself in hopes of one day ridding the world of despicable teachers. Now, I work with secondary students in the classroom and on the field. I get excited when I see my students succeed. It is my life's purpose to help others be the best version of themselves.I love working with students of all different ability levels. My degrees are in language arts education and exceptional education. Also, I recently look my ACT as part of a requirement to receive a grant, so I have first hand knowledge of the requirements and test taking strategies needed to do well on the assessment.

I completed my undergraduate education at Georgetown University and majored in psychology. Between undergraduate and graduate school I worked as a Clinical Research Associate at Medanta- The Medicity medical institution in Delhi, India. During the holidays, I love to travel and explore different cultures :) I primarily teach by using a lot of visuals, as I believe this is the best way to retain information; however, every student is different and I will make every effort to employ a teaching method that caters to the individual.
