Tutoring review by Travis in Beverly Hills, CA
During this session, the student and I stuck to practicing assigned problems, becoming familiar with the types of questions asked, the "trickiness" of the questions, and generally learning more about the assigned case study.  She was good at understanding the material, and the only issues we encountered were in clarifying what exactly some of the questions were asking.

Tutoring review by Bridget in Beverly Hills, CA
Student 1 and Student 2 both had great sessions tonight.  Student 1 continues to show improvement in his letter-naming and letter-writing.  We focused tonight on the letters B, S, and D.  Student 1 is becoming more automatic with orienting himself and thinking ahead about how to write each letter.  He was able to use those skills to write his full name twice-he was very proud! Student 2 and I studied a number of additional suffixes in Wilson step 10.5.  He read multisyllabic words of 4 and 5 syllables that all included at least 1 if not 2 suffixes.  Student 2 did a great job decoding them and building his vocabulary.  We also spent about 20 minutes tonight looking at a passage from the 8th grade AIMS test.  He read the passage aloud and answered 6 out of 7 of the related questions accurately.

Student 1 worked on graphing linear inequalities.  We will start solving systems of equations with her next week.  Student 2 learned to multiply and divide fractions.  He needs review over adding and subtracting fractions, and we will move on to performing these four operations on mixed numbers next week.

This was our last session. I had the student complete one math and one critical reading section. We then went over the sections and developed a last week study plan for him.

Tutoring review by Joey in Beverly Hills, CA
We met for two hour and a half sessions.  During the first session we reviewed notes on antitrust laws, regulation, and public finance. I advised the student to take notes about key ideas.  We covered the chapter very well.  We met again tonight at the library to work on a quiz about perfect competition which we completed with a score of 18/20.  At our next session the student will both study for and take the final exam.
