I looked at the student's homework on fractions, and he seems to finally get it. But to be sure, I assigned him another worksheet on fractions for him to do on his own because I wanted him to get enough practice with adding/subtracting fractions. After the homework, I reviewed prime numbers with him. He was able to do fine, and I think he's good at figuring out what numbers are prime. Finally, we went through problems that involved looking at graphs and tables. He seems pretty good at looking at tables. I assigned him a page of problems involving graphs. That's a total of two pages of homework.

Student 1 continued work on his spelling packet. He asked some really good questions! We did his math homework together, and he definitely seems to understand the difference between prime and composite numbers. He just needs to work on slowing down in order to avoid simple mistakes. Both twins put their spelling words into alphabetical order. I gave Student 2 a pop spelling quiz, and she did very well! She also did a practice math test that I made for her, and she did extremely well on it!

We discussed how to analyze analogies, and I left analogy worksheets for practice. He did well on the verbal reasoning section of the ISEE test. His confidence is increasing.

Tutoring review by Billie in Lafayette, CO
We worked primarily on the middle school diagnostic reading test 2 and math practice exams. We covered ratios and the student was able to recall this concept. At the very end, we did some work on synonyms to beef up the verbal score. Her progress in reading was excellent.
