Today's session, was focused on the student's final. We covered all the topics he learned this past semester. He needed a lot of help reviewing how to graph functions, especially quadratic functions. We reviewed how to find the vertex, axis of symmetry, max/min, and intercepts of quadratic functions. Then we reviewed how to find zeroes and factor polynomials. Lastly, we reviewed properties of i, absolute value comparisons.

We reviewed the various types of triangles. We then went on to discuss the Pythagorean theorem and its uses. We also went over how to find the midpoint and distance between two points.

The student had a "recovery" quiz for a recent assessment on probability. He had to identify a question on a list of review questions that addressed the same topic as the incorrect Q's, and explain the similarity. He also had to solve another given "recovery" question on the same topic as the incorrect Q's. For both questions, he readily identified his error and found a correct solution on the new problem.

We covered systems of differential equations and phase plane diagrams. The student seemed a bit unsure in the beginning, but she got more comfortable and solved the problems with proficiency as we worked through some problems. This was review for an upcoming test.
