They completed the assignments, and then they worked on some practice work which involved graphs and finding congruent parts of triangles.

We talked through the student's notes regarding how to find volumes using integration. Then he worked through his homework problems. He is learning how to find an area of a solid and then rotate it around an axis to find the volume. He seems to understand the concepts well and was able to apply his knowledge to the homework problems. I emphasized slowing down and working through each step of a problem. We also encountered a problem that used the "washer" method, a new concept for him. We talked through it, and he grasped the process.

The student and I covered Algebra 1 topics from his test including but not limited to determining if a system of inequalities has a solution set when given the system of inequalities, finding the correct system of inequalities when given the graph, true/false questions regarding solution sets to systems of inequalities, selecting the correct solution to the system of inequalities, solving a system of equations by the elimination method and the substitution method, and solving a system of equations by using the matrix. The student was very cooperative throughout the session. He is better at inputting the variables into the functions to find the answer.
