Today we reviewed the student's study guide for his upcoming math test. The topics included on the worksheet included negative numbers, ratio boxes, and finding areas and volumes. He is doing alright with most of the material, but we do need to review these questions again. We will review the worksheet again this week.

Today, the student and I reviewed our previous work with algebraic manipulations of variables. We followed that by covering the order of operations, which he had not learned before. He caught on very quickly, and was able to work even the most complicated order of operations problems that I gave him, which is a huge step. He was even able to do the exponent problems reliably. Our next step will be synthesizing the two concepts, and having him work multi-step problems with variables.
