Raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and educated at Reed College and the University of Utah, I received my B.A. in Philosophy from the latter with minors in History and English Literature. For the last several years I have been honing my German language skills and plan to pursue an advanced degree in Europe some time in the near future. My tutoring experience ranges from ESL to standardized tests. I've worked as an assistant debate coach and paper grader, too. I believe strongly in the virtues of the examined life; I enjoy aiding students with topics--there are a great number of them--that promote critical reflection upon, and quite often adjustment to, our understanding of the world and our place in it.
