I have tutored Math and English to children from 5 to 18 years old for the past 6 years. I am experienced working with a range of learning styles, including teaching children with ADHD and Dyslexia. On top of working with my students to master their subjects, I help them develop study skills and time management strategies to maximize their potential.

The power of private tutoring is the ability to cater lessons to each student's individual learning style. Everyone processes information differently and the teacher's first and most important job is helping students work that out. I adapt my lesson plans depending upon the student. For example with students who are visual learners, I utilize images to help them understand the subject material.

I also strive to make every session interesting and enjoyable for the student; an engaged learner is an effective learner. I design my lessons so students are proactive; learning comes from doing and asking questions, not passively trying to absorb information.

My goal as a tutor is to help my students become independent learners who can approach any problem with confidence in their own ability and armed with the tools to solve them. I hope you will consider me as a tutor for your child.
