Working to empower children is my passion. Young citizens have more opportunities for success than ever before. I believe we must build hearts of purpose to create passionate learners, responsible decision-makers and collaborative community members who will impact the corners of our world.

I am currently a highs school science teacher and I have four years of teaching experience. I have a master's degree in teaching and an undergraduate degree in biology. At my current position, I have created the curriculum for chemistry, biology, environmental and physical science classes. This experience taught me how to create meaningful lessons that are rooted in real-life experiences. I encourage 21st-century skills by creating lessons that are rooted in real-life phenomenons with inquiry-based, hands-on experiences that are accessible to a varied amount of learners.

All students are capable of brilliant things and watching students not only learn new concepts but also discover new ways to receive, gather and process information inspires and fuels my love of teaching.
