I love to learn, and I love to help others love learning as well. I have been working with students from age 4-adult for the past 20+ years, including 13 years of work at the university level. While my bachelors, masters, and doctorate are all in music, I also have experience working with elementary and middle school students in English, math, and science. A lover of text and poetry, I also enjoy helping students to find their writing voice.
I believe that learning is one of the most vulnerable activities we can engage in, so I am committed to working to create a brave space where students can take risks and be safe to fail.

When I'm not making music, teaching, researching, or writing, I'm most likely hiking on a trail, in my kitchen making granola or kombucha, sipping wine while reading poetry, or out in the rain splashing in puddles.
