My name is Arnetta Knight, and I'm from Newport News, Virginia. I have over 11 years experience in the defense industry working in various roles. I am currently the Records and Information Management Program Manager for the Army Corps of Engineers in the Enterprise Information Technology Services sector. I am also a Freelance Software Engineer operating under my business name of Knight Development. I consult, design, develop, and deploy websites and web applications for entrepreneurs and small to mid-size businesses. I have two associate degrees in Administrative Support Technology and Medical Administration. I have a bachelor's degree from Colorado State University in Management Information Systems and Business Analytics with a specialization in Information Technology Management, and finally I am a master's degree candidate in the field of Software Development. My professional background is in Information Technology, program management, information technology consulting, training and development, software engineering, computer programming, and web application development.
My professional experience has provided me with the tools to work on various projects and programs that have made positive impacts. My current role has also allowed me to create and conduct training and development programs and initiatives for various departments within the Information Technology and Information Management space. I look forward to being an active and thoughtful contributor to Varsity Tutors and its mission, while providing knowledge, guidance, and support to every student to help further their educational, professional, and life goals.
