I completed my B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering at The Ohio State University and earned my PhD from the University of Southern California. My dissertation was in chemical vapor deposition and I also worked at Intel Corporation as a research and development engineer. While I'm not currently enrolled in any programs, learning never stops! I'm on the lookout for the right program to expand my expertise in Data Science.
I was a Teaching assistant for various subjects for nearly 5 years at University. Starting in my sophomore year I taught fundamentals of engineering at Ohio State - With a class size of 72 students per section the course introduced students to Matlab, CAD (AutoDesk), Microsoft Excel, Technical graphics, Subject specific labs, design projects, Microfluidics and teamwork. I also taught a Chemical Engineering elective: Physical Properties of Polymers at the University of Southern California which taught polymer synthesis and characterization of various commercial and research based polymerization processes.

I am looking to tutor a variety of subjects : Mathematics (Calculus, linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Statistics), Physics (Newtonian, Electricity and Magnetism), Chemistry (Inorganic, Organic, Physical Chemistry), Programming in Matlab, Standardized Test Prep (ACT, SAT, GRE), Specialty Chemical Engineering courses, and Data Analysis. I love these topics since they were also the subjects I spent the most time preparing for in school and ultimately also the most valuable in my career.

My Tutoring style is Student first, I like to fully understand my students goals and I like them to get the most out of every session with me. I like to emphasize clear concepts and provide plenty of opportunities for repetition to build their skills. I hope that during their time with me students not only get great technical knowledge but also feel like they have found a good mentor to help them succeed in their endeavors beyond test scores and the classroom.

Hobbies

I love hiking and have summited 3 volcanoes since moving to the pacific northwest (Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, and Mt. St. Helen's). I also dabble with rock climbing, running (Hood to Coast '23) and Yoga. I have two dogs, a Dutch shepherd and a German shepherd that I love playing and running with very much. I love the transformative effects of physical activity and nature on allowing me to decompress and makes me more motivated and focused during my work.
