Certified Tutor

I am a second-year Computer Science student at the University of Guelph, minoring in Computer Technology Studies. I enjoy helping students because I know that understanding a subject can make a real difference in their confidence and success. I've had the chance to work with students in a few different roles: I tutored Grades 9 to 11 math, coached a robotics team, and mentored younger students as a senior mentor during high school. Each experience taught me how important patience, encouragement, and clear communication are when it comes to learning. While I tutor a variety of subjects, I am most passionate about English, math, computer science, and technology. My favorite subjects to tutor are programming and senior-level mathematics courses. When I tutor, I focus on being patient, approachable, and encouraging. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace. I believe that building confidence in learning is just as important as building skills. Outside of school and tutoring, I enjoy coding side projects, reading books, and watching movies.

In my pastime, I enjoy reading, watching TV shows and movies, and illustrating. My favorite hobby is reading and collecting books, with a particular love for fantasy, rom-coms, and contemporary fiction! When I'm not reading, I enjoy watching TV shows and movies.
