I graduated from Martin Luther College with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I have 20+ years of teaching experience and am on track to complete my master's degree in education with an emphasis in special education in the spring of 2025. Since graduating, I have worked in Wisconsin, Florida, and Minnesota, teaching students throughout grades 2-8. I enjoy teaching various subjects, but English, reading, and math are my favorite classes to teach. I've always enjoyed these classes, but I have had a love for literature since I was a young girl. I believe that students succeed when a teacher promotes a growth mindset, allowing students to self-evaluate their work and set goals. I enjoy getting to know students so I can build stronger lessons that support their backgrounds and learning styles.

I enjoy reading various types of literature. I play the piano and taught piano lessons for a number of years. I also love to travel. I am a Disney annual passholder and go to Walt Disney World multiple times throughout the year.
