We worked on a fraction review assignment. The student knew what to do but he would make mistakes like forgetting a negative or multiplying instead of adding. I will continue to monitor in case it is more than the rust of summer.

I helped the student review for his upcoming test. While he initially said he struggles most with solving trigonometric functions, we ended up reviewing everything else that will be on his test, including composite functions, even/odd functions, and inverse functions. He made flashcards to help him study. We agreed that in our next session tomorrow, we would focus on solving trigonometric functions.

I spent this session going over geometry with Cartesian coordinates with the student. I helped show her how to determine the coordinates of a point on a plane and how to construct a figure given a set of points. I then helped her understand how to perform a variety of transformations - translations, flips over an axis or line, and rotations around a point. I slowly guided her through these transformations, and then helped her with problems that I created.
