The student had issues in class understanding how to use the protractor. So we worked on this and also how name angle. I also gave him notion like: a circle is 360 degrees, specific angles: 180-90, and the concept of obtuse and acute angles.

We completed a review packet that covers the material for his test retake. It was on lines, substitution, and related word problems. The word problems were good, and he just needed a bit of review on the other concepts.

We did non-calculator free response today. We went over different types of questions they could ask. She knew how to do most of it. We have gone through most of what they can put on free response by now. She just has to go back through and do more problems because she needs to get more comfortable with the concepts and how to apply them. She usually has the right idea.

This session, we covered concepts related to the student's English Composition class and Spanish class. The student was initially struggling with some new vocabulary words, and had some difficulty formulating sentences for the words. His attitude was very receptive. I included strategies to help him understand the English class words better. We will also continue to work on his vocabulary in future sessions. He is becoming more confident in addressing his weaknesses in class, and is learning from his mistakes.

We covered deductive and inductive reasoning, with examples regarding supplementary and complementary angles. We also discussed postulates regarding several points, planes, and intersecting lines. There was more organization and progress by the student. We will continue to practice on 11/27.
