I am a New York based actress, dramaturg, and Shakespeare aficionado. I've recently returned from London where I was studying in the MA Theatre Lab at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Theatre has taken me abroad, and I have studied and performed in London and Italy, (La Mama Umbria). I have a BA from Sarah Lawrence College, where I studied theatre and Medieval literature. Sarah Lawrence gave me many opportunities outside the academic, amongst them was the opportunity to teach in the school's Theatre Outreach program; there I was able to teach Shakespeare to local high school students. We discussed the text both as literature and performance; this opened up the language, made it accessible, and fun! I will be tutoring in Literature and writing amongst other similar subjects. I love literature because it can open up new worlds. Within the pages of a novel, a person is exposed to character and history. So much is wrapped up in a book's binding. I love yoga, coffee, galavanting in museums, and, of course, Shakespeare.
