After graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in math and an Illinois teaching certificate, I taught high school math for 5 years and tutored all sections of the ACT for a national standardized test preparation company. Now I'm a stay-at-home mom looking to tutor during the evenings and weekends.

I have experience and enjoy working with all types of students, including students working on remedial and advanced material and students with learning difficulties. My thorough explanations help students understand their work, rather than simply memorizing information, which leads to greater mastery and longer retention.
